i play by the rules. just not the cartel’s rules.

the “rules” in my country are very clear:

ripping, sharing, copying and p2p of music and video are not illegal in my country. the law (which is new) specifically states that it is LEGAL, as long as it’s not for profit.

don’t ask me what country i’m in. i won’t say.it’s no one’s business. i don’t give that info out.

“For people who play by the rules the new offerings (and their future iterations) may make life easier. But people inclined to illegally download movies or who know how to rip a DVD onto their computer probably aren’t going to change their habits.”

I’m sure he meant to say, “For people who know how to get around Hollywood’s sneaky restrictions to make legal, private copies of their DVD collection, this doesn’t affect them at all. But people who aren’t as tech-saavy and need to be spoon-fed the means and permission to archive their legally-purchased DVD library from the media conglomerates in Hollywood, have to bend over and take it.”
