Perez Hilton loses X17 lawsuit

p2pnet news | Off Topic:- ‘Celebrity blogger’ Mario Armando Lavandeira Jr, aka Perez Hilton, reckoned ‘celebrity photo agency’ X17 wasn’t treating its employees right.

So, says cbs2.com, he sued X17, claiming it was violating wage and labor laws by making its photographers work long hours with low pay.

Was his claimbased on altruistic considerations and concern for the photographers?

“The practice gives X17 an unfair advantage over Hilton and other competitors, the suit alleged,” says the story.

But, a Los Angeles judge yesterday ruled Lavandeira/Hilton, “has no standing to intervene on behalf of the shutterbugs who do work for the company.,” says E! Online.

X17 is currently suing Hilton in federal court for copyright infringement over his use of the company’s pictures on his Website, “which depends largely on photos, with snippy commentary to match,” says the story.
