p2pnet news | Music:- Looks like Amy Winehouse’s husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, will be spending Christmas in jail.
Accused of assaulting a pub landlord, he also faces a charge of perverting the course of justice, says the BBC.
He’s slated to appear in court for a plea and directions hearing on January 18 and has been remanded in custody.
His trial, “is expected to take place at Southwark Crown Court in June,” says the story.
Fielder-Civil and co-defendant Michael Brown, who’s also pleading not guilty to inflicting grievous bodily harm, are accused of carrying out an attack in June last year.
Appearing with them was Anthony Kelly, “who faces a charge of conspiracy to pervert the course of justice,” says the BBC.
Amy Winehouse recently told fans, shocked at the “shambolic” start of her new tour, “to all those booing, just wait till my husband gets out of incarceration - and I mean that”.
She was in the court and, “She blew kisses to him in the courtroom and the two mouthed words to each other,” sayts NME.
