I'm too tired to type for an hour right now, but seriously, kids who are around 8-12 shoudln't be able to go to a video game store by themselves, so it's a pretty good chance that the parent is involved. Either the kid is irresponible, or there is some bad parenting going on. Check my other thread for more details. The ratings should be guidelines at best, which is what many see them as. If they are young and have to go with their parents to a game store, the decision is with the parent.
