Embroiled in a non-stop battle with her ex-husband, Kevin Federline, over custody of their two children,Sean Preston, two, and one-year-old Jayden James, she’s “told friends she’s in the final stages of talks with an adoption agency and plans to go ahead with the move very soon,” says the News of the World.
“Friends feel that Britney has decided to adopt the two six-year-old tots from China in a frantic bid to fill the void left by losing her sons to K-Fed,” says the story.
It also says she’s “splashing out £25,000 on her OWN funeral” because, “she fears her spiralling lifestyle may lead to an early grave”.

Nonsense! She cannot adopt children from China because she does not meet the Chinese adoption officials’ standards:
1. She is not between 30 and 50 years old.
2. She is single. As a twice-divorced woman, she cannot even apply to adopt from China until she’s been married to someone else for at least 5 years.
3. She has recent DUI convictions. She cannot apply to adopt from China until at least 10 years have passed after a conviction.
4. She has recently been in rehab. She will have to prove that she’s been drug-free and sober for at least 10 years before she can apply to adopt from China.
5. She’d never pass a homestudy!
