She cannot adopt children from China because she does not meet the Chinese adoption officials' standards: 1. She is not between 30 and 50 years old. 2. She is single. As a twice-divorced woman, she cannot even apply to adopt from China until she's been married to someone else for at least 5 years. 3. She has recent DUI convictions. She cannot apply to adopt from China until at least 10 years have passed after a conviction. 4. She has recently been in rehab. She will have to prove that she's been drug-free and sober for at least 10 years before she can apply to adopt from China. 5. She'd never pass a homestudy! Nonsense!
