WiFi in the sky

p2pnet.net News:- Germany’s Lufthansa says it’ll be the first airline to provide Boeing’s WiFi Connexion on non-stop flights from Munich to Los Angeles, starting May 17.

At $30 for the entire trip or $10 for 30 minutes of in-flight broadband, passengers will be able to log on as they soar through the clouds, says daily wireless here, going on.

"Singapore Airlines has jumped onboard, with plans to have its first plane equipped this year, and soon thereafter its entire long-range fleet.

"Meanwhile, no U.S. airline has ordered Boeing’s new wireless broadband system. The largest ones all claim to be interested, but financial issues remain a problem. None of the major airlines have had a profitable year since 2000."

And why not? Wifi is already on bikes.

Awesome! There’s no existing copyright laws over or in the International waters. Now I don’t need a satellite, a laptop, a rowboat, and a pack of Capt. Crunch on a 3-hour tour so I can D/L to my hearts content anymore.

Our luck, RIAA agents will accompany Air Marshals. :)
