She’d chosen to make her living as an online solo nude model. But I was among those who said she was a porn star.
I truly regret it.
Porn has always been around
I’ve been running p2pnet since 2002 and I’ve never seen so many disgusting p2pnet comment posts (I hope I caught, and deleted, all of them) or received so many sick emails.
It’s simple.
Pornography, erotica, whatever you want to call it, has been around ever since we first learned to make scratch-marks on cave walls and it’ll always be here in one form or another.
There are all kinds of arguments against it —- it’s degrading to women, it encourages sex crime, pornography threatens children —- but it’s an integral part of innumerable cultures.
It might help if we had a distinct RedNet where people who are into soft and/or hard porn could easily find what interests them.

Meanwhile, on the right is a picture of Israel Mireles, the suspect in what’s now a murder investigation.
It’s on a ZoeyZane web page that’s just gone up and which says:

Personally, as a father of 4 daughters, I would be very disappointed if one of them choice that line of work. However, I would be infuriated beyond the point of rational thought when the news agencies showed my family so little respect as to make their headlines ‘Porn stars body found.’, or ‘Missing Porn star found’. A mobster is killed because he enters a lifestyle where he kills. A porn star does not run around killing people. She does NOT do anything illegal. Immoral I will give you. Either she is dead, she was murdered by some freaking phsycopath and to try to rationalize that she asked for it or deserved it in anyway because of her occupation is rediculous.
As usual the news outlets are trying to skew the headlines to sensationalize and force us all to think of it as they do. A porn star was not murdered, a beloved, young woman with a family and friends was murdered. My thoughts and prayers to out to her family and friends who now now only have to deal with this crushing loss but also doubly so by seeing this woman not referred by name but as ‘porn star’ with photos from those sites (or parts of the photos) being shown. These news agencies are sick, twisted, and soul-less.

My thoughts and prayers are with the family of Emily Sander. As the sister of a homicide victim, it is heart wrenching to read the horrible, disgusting comments by some people on these boards. To her family-Please understand that people make such insensitive remarks because they are ignorant. They believe if they villify the victim they can protect thier version of reality by convincing themselves that such a crime can only happen to certain people. They do not understand that this girl was a daughter, a sister, a friend. They do not understand that thier comments are salt in the wound to those who loved Emily. While I concur that what she had done so far had not moved into the realm of pornography, she cannot be categorized as a “solo nude model”. Her Halloween-themed photo shoot had her grouped with two other girls; nothing porn, but certainly not a solo act either. While setting up a special bank account may be a good idea, whoever is behind the renewed website (it was taken down earlier this week) makes me nervous. The “solo” claim simply isn’t true, and no one but a total idiot would post both a routing number AND an account number on-line. If anyone wants to contribute I’d suggest they contact the bank directly. This new website smells like a scam.

we can view americans being beheaded but we can’t see zoey doing something she wanted to do. really its is tragic but what are we accomplishing by this. I wonder what the women libers are going to say showing special treatment to a woman. I bet they won’t say a word because they will say she was exploited. but if this was tied into aborition I bet thy would have a shit fit if you sensored that . god bles zoey if we are still allowed to say or refer to god.

Such arguing over technicalities. Zoey was termed a solo nude model because that was, I believe, the industry classification of the type of site she had. Her shots were tasteful, not quite as suggestive as Playboy. They showed a pretty girl, proud and happy about herself and her body. Although I was not aware of her until this tragedy, it is easy to see that Emily’s family, friends, and fans have all lost someone very special.

As sad as anything is that this young woman would have been a nameless, faceless statistic if it had not been for the media sensation. I realize that I am part of this issue. I was one of the many who “googled” the name Zoey Zane just after I found out that she was “a porn star”. I guess the question is now how do we change the perceptions of humankind to be as interested in ANY disappearing person, male or female, without there having to be some sort of connotation connected to it. I know that we as a society have some ways to go.

I’m appalled by the amount of discussion regarding Emily’s choice of occupation. Why is no one questioning motives for her death, reasons for the disappearance of the suspect and his girlfriend, whether or not the girlfriend’s parents know anything… these are just a few of the questions I have regarding the whole thing. I think, for the sake of Emily’s memory, and the profound sense of loss her family and friends are feeling, that the emphasis must be placed squarely on bringing the perpetrator(s) to justice - period. The rest is irrelevant and is best left alone. Emily deserves that at the very least, and may those who love her find some peace.

Its a shame what has happen to this LADY. So she had the looks and decided to pose nude and show off her beauty. So what!!! I’m sad that the wonderfully moronic media had to try to take her name and smear it. They had to put the spin on the story like they have so many times before. They have showed their true colors again. Everyone knows that the media in this country is just a joke. I would love to run into that human trash that killed Her. I would not want the reward, just 10 minutes with Him. Rest in peace Emily I’d like to say to the family that I’m sorry in the way the media is treating your daughter, I hope you can blow those idiots off. I’ve deleted the url of a site sponsoring the reward mentioned above and I’ll be doing a post on that in a moment.
It points to a T&A site, complete with nudes and links, and to me, looks suspiciously like an effort to cash in on Emily’s murder.
If the company behind it is genuinely doing this to help find Emily’s killer, the page would have contained that information, and nothing else.

Wow…I find it a bit interesting that the reward fund is at a Bank of America -(A company that has made billions by supporting illegal immigration) - and Emily’s alleged killer is a criminal alien with a violent criminal record in at least 2 other states, (CA. and TX.) I wonder if “hosting” the reward fund makes B of A feel better? (Scumbags).
Scum is scum and it comes in all races…SHOCKING that someone who shows no past respect for the law and the rights of others repeats the same illegal activities, (In this case with tragic consequences).
Yep, Emily was 18 and technically an adult…but for anyone who wants to trash her reputation now that she is gone or question her judgement the night she left the bar with this guy um, do you remember being 18 years old? (i.e. Thinking nothing could possibly happen to you or anyone you know, not always making good choices re: people you meet who seem “Nice” or “Harmless”)? Are there any one of us want to have all of our actions when we were teenagers put out there for public judgement and comment?
I hope that Emily’s family will be able to find some peace and comfort in knowing how many of us out here are saddened also by Emily’s senseless murder…It’s a small town in KS…not too tough to find addresses, therefore my check for Emily’s reward fund is being sent directly to Emily’s family.

I was very sad to read about what happened to Emily Sander. Regardless of how she earned her living, she did not deserve to die such a terrible death. She truly must have been terrified alone in her last minutes with that man. It is hard to even imagine or think about it, and it must be even worse for her family. They will be in my thoughts and prayers.

A lot of the posts I’m reading here have they’re heart in the right place,I still can’t help but notice how often phrases like “regardless of how she earned her living” come up.If you arent embarrased to be seen or photographed nude,or doing certain things,what is immoral,or even so much as questionable,about being paid for it?If the sight of a nude body were a more common thing among us,by the way,there wouldn’t BE such big money in it.
