‘Brave’ cinema employee nabs ‘pirate’

p2pnet news | MPAA News:- Hollywood has paid a UK cinema projectionist £700 (more than $1,400) for “bravery”.
What’d he do? Apprehend armed robbers as they tried to raid the box office?
Rescue an elderly patron from being mugged, maybe?
None of the above.
John Zold (2nd left), “sprang into action when he spotted a man sitting at the back of an auditorium at the Croydon Vue, attempting to film The Simpsons Movie in July,” says the Wimbledon Guardian, going on:
“The projection manager approached the man and asked him to leave the cinema but the suspect fled, dropping his camera.
“John then used the camcorder to film the suspect escaping from the cinema. The footage and CCTV images have been handed over to police and have been forensically examined.”
As a “thank you,” John was given £350 by the Federation Against Copyright Theft (Fact) which was matched by his bosses at Vue Entertainment, says the story.
Where does the bravery come into it?
Only in the Guardian’s intro, to wit, Zold, “stopped a man from illegally filming at a Croydon multiplex before turning the camera on the movie pirate has been rewarded for his bravery”.
Oh.

Last time I was at the theater, I saw at least 6-9 cellphones out taking pictures during a movie, yet no one out here gave a damn. No mafia nazis around here yet.

why do people even do this? stupid, the picture quality is going to be bad anyway, if you really want to see the movie so badly then go to the theaters if not then wait until dvd quality comes out.
