High caliber mp3 player
p2pnet.net News Opinion:- Brandon Buchan, an English major at the University of Saskatchewan in Canada, was well pleased when he successfully bid $300 for a high caliber mp3 player on eBay, the online auction company.
But when the package turned up, it contained a .22 Smith & Wesson pistol instead of an mp3 player.
Both the gun – which arrived with a license – and the player were sold by Abe’s Pawn Shop in Louisiana, says Chantal Eustace in her Saskatoon StarPhoenixe story here.
Somehow, the .22 crossed the border in a UPS load without being detected.
Saskatoon police will hold it until they contact Canada Customs to determine the next steps, says Eustace.
“In the meantime, Buchan’s real MP3 player should arrive in the next few days – probably couriered by UPS.
Canada Customs spokeswoman Loretta Nyhus said the incident seemed “odd,” adds the StarPhoenixe.

Seems like a great idea for a product. An mp3 player that looks like a 9mm. The “G-pod”… Then there’s the deluxe Uzi model. Come to think of it, I think sombody already made one that looks like the ammo clip for an AK47. Too late…

I guess all those wonderful, 2 billion dollar, Canadian gun laws didn’t do much good here eh? Makes you wonder how many other times guns are simply shipped across the 49th?
