Mininova P2P content distribution

p2pnet news | P2P:- Proving the days of sole corporate control are done, Dutch torrent search engine Mininova has just launched a new P2P content distribution service.
With it, producers will be able to share movies and music with its more than 27 million users.
“Using Mininova CD, they can share their content for free,” it says.
The Red Band film company shooting the new half-hour comedy TV series Pariah Island, which parodies reality TV shows, recently chose Mininova as its sole distribution channel, making it the first site of its kind to work directly with a content producer.
“Mininova CD offers real power to independent media producers who need to reach consumers, but who don’t have access to the established channels which are locked up by the giant media corporations,” says Red Band.
Mainstream distribution methods have failed to keep pace with demand and, “By using Mininova CD, producers can get their product into consumer’s hands without the overhead, expense and aggravation of working with mainstream distributors”, says executive producer Christopher Paris.
BitTorrent has also announced it” syndicate its free content catalog with Mininova.
But to start, “mainly free games will be distributed on Mininova’s website,” says the company.
And more power to them.
