Queen Elizabeth’s Xmas gift to Google

p2pnet news | TV:- Google continues to dream up ways to force surfers to swallow advertisements featured on, and through, its many and various ‘ services,’ with privacy for users very much a secondary consideration.

It spent $1.65 billion to turn YouTube into GooTube and it didn’t lash out those kinds of dollars for nothing.

YouTube has become the primary video site pulling hundreds of millions of people on an hourly basis and that it’s THE corporate channel has been confirmed by Britain’s Buck House, aka Buckingham Palace.

Marking the 50th anniversary of her first televised Christmas message, Queen Elizabeth II has launched her very own video site —- on YouTube.

Called, appropriately, The Royal Channel, it’ll feature as its first major event the ‘Queen’s Speech’ for 2007, slated for approximately 3pm GMT on Christmas Day.

The site also includes transcripts of previous QEII Christmas messages.

But look what happened to knighthoods. So maybe this is no big surprise

What a Christmas present for Larry, Sergei and Eric ;)

So the queen makes her speech available to the masses and people complain. Available mediums will be bbc iplayer, bbc.co.uk bbc1 or bbc2 and now youtube. No one is forced to give google ad money, The masses have many ways to watch live and on demand later on.

So what should they have done?

  2. Interested of Notts Says:

How much did the royals get for the endorsement and wil they donate it to a worthy cause?

    Just asking ;)

  3. catflap Says:

who cares about the so-called queen or what her opinions are?

    fuck her.

“who cares about the so-called queen or what her opinions are?

    fuck her.”

are you British, Australian etc..if the queen is not your monarch then yes why would you care(probably the same amount any British care about that state of the union speach)

If you are British then her speeches can affect your tax and law’s you have to follow(not usaly in Christmas speach) so even if you dont like her or the laws having more ways to hear them(choice) is a good thing.
