what’s the big deal with fairytale of new york?

i heard it for the first time on the recent TOTP2 christmas special 2007. i couldn’t understand most of it and it doesn’t sound like a christmas song, or even a good song.

i think it’s a sucky song.

the guy who sang it can’t sing or hold a tune - especially since it appears he has no front teeth - but i doubt it would sound any better if he did have teeth.

while i waited for the “OMIGOD” factor of them using the word “faggot”, it wasn’t uttered at all. apparently they changed the lyric to “maggot” back in the days of TOTP.

faggot, maggot, or whatever…it’s a shite song. what’s the big deal?

it sucks.
