Amy Winehouse ordered to Norway court
p2pnet news | Music:- Amy Winehouse is in trouble again, this time in Norway.
Arrested just before Christmas in connection with an alleged bribery plot which already has her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, in jail, she’s been ordered to appear in a Norwegian court to appeal against a fine for possession of marijuana, says the BBC.
“The 24-year-old star spent the night in police cells in Bergen in October, but she was released after she paid 500 euros (£350; $714),” says the story, going on:
“Winehouse’s father, Mitch, has said a conviction would affect her chances of getting a US visa, harming her career.”
Bergen police had their claim upheld in Gulating Court of Appeals and now, “Winehouse must appear in person to testify about events when she and her husband were arrested in possession of drugs, newspaper Bergens Tidende reports,” says Aftenposten, adding:
“Winehouse, her husband and her personal hairdresser were arrested in a room at Hotell Norge, allegedly for smoking marijuana and having taped over the smoke alarm. They were also in possession of over seven grams of the drug.”
Winehouse denied responsibility, “and said that her hairdresser owned the marijuana but all three signed a statement accepting a fine of NOK 4,000 (USD 722),” says the story.
