Rudy – Damn – DAMNN! You’re ugly!
The spirit of DRM: DRM often is.
It’s Galacticast’s YouTube Canadian Copyfight A Christmas Carol, inspired by Donnie Darko, Star Wars Nineteen Eighty Four, Blade Runner, Doctor Who
Galacticast was launched in May last year so Casey McKinnon and Rudy Jahchan (left), and other Galacticast players, could “mash-up their love of sci-fi, fantasy, horror, comics, and video-games to bring you hilarious sketches every Monday morning”.
“All episodes are produced by 8Bit Brownies Inc using a camera, a tripod, four lights, a greenscreen and a computer.”

Canadian Copyfight A Christmas Carol came into being because the entertainment cartels are spending megabucks on lobbying efforts designed to browbeat Canada’s weak-kneed Conservative ‘leaders’ into turning the country into a mini-America where the movie and music industries rule and anything goes.
Efforts to force through Canadian industry inspired copyright legislation were stopped dead just before Christmas, thanks to online activists who in a matter of days organised enough resistance to make federal industry minister Jim prentice stage a hasty, although possibly temporary, withdrawal.
