Study at MIT — online
p2pnet news | P2P:- The Net has for years been front and centre for DIY home-schooling families.
It’s a vital component in home-based education and now the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s OpenCourseWare, "makes virtually all the school’s courses available online for free – lecture notes, readings, tests and often video lectures," says the Canadian Press.
So far, it’s had 40 million visits by 31 million visitors from virtually every country, says the site, going on:
"MIT OpenCourseWare averages 1 million visits each month" and, "translations receive 500,000 more".
Click here for a summary but, MIT emphasises, OCW is not an MIT education.
It doesn’t grant degrees or certificates or provide access to MIT faculty and, "Materials may not reflect entire content of the course."
