Megaman tasers Robert Dziekanski

p2pnet news | P2P:- An online video of the death of Robert Dziekanski, a distraught Polish immigrant Tasered by police at Vancouver International airport, has shocked millions of people around the world.
Dziekanski died moments after the darts, lethally charged with electricity, were fired into his body.
He fell to the ground writhing in agony and seconds later, RCMP officers were kneeling on his neck to handcuff him.
Paul Pritchard of Victoria, on Vancouver Island, BC, captured the incident, which took place on October 14.

Friends and family of Robert Dziekanski say they are offended by an animation posted on YouTube re-enacting the last moments of his life.
Dziekanski is the Polish immigrant who died after being Tasered during a confrontation with police at Vancouver International Airport in October 2007.
The animation is called “Megaman vs Polish Immigrant.” Mega Man is the trigger-happy superhero of Nintendo’s videogame hit from the 1980s. The animation shows Mega Man confronting a character who has Dziekanski’s face superimposed on it.

Many have posted what they thought this video was about. I would like to? re-iterate that no slight against the Polish people was meant in any way. The video was my view on the YVR tazer incident last October, and specifically the ineptness of the RCMP and airport staff’s dealings with Mr. Dziekanski. My intent was to remark towards their conduct and maybe reach an audience that would not have had the opportunity otherwise.
Few people outside of Vancouver were knowledgeable that something happened; confirmed from the countless posts I’ve read stating they were unaware of the accident prior to seeing my video. The attention from the media is something that I was not expecting. I know my clips 15 minutes of fame will be over soon, but am pleased that 50,000 people are thinking about? the YVR incident that weren’t 2 days ago. Hopefully people will not soon forget this catastrophe.

You’re unable to comprehend the video. It is IN FACT a satire on Canadian police. MEGAMAN? fighting a Polish immigrant, having an option to call a translator, use a restraint, but choosing to taser mercilessly? Tasering a guy lying on the floor? Can’t you see an irony in it? This video ridicules the Canadian police but your IQ is too low to grasp it.

Come on people. Shit happens, time to move on and learn from the mistakes.
This is no time to sit around and make videos about someones death.
In fact I think this video is a complete mockery of the RCMP and of Robert.
Just like to note that if this guy was behaving like that in the US
they would have shot him with bullets.
So is using a taser so bad in that respect…………..

I’m glad this video kept the media spotlight on this case. The fact that people find this video offensive is stupid. What is really offensive is the behaviour of the 4 RCMP officers who murdered the Polish immigrant. You all need a serious reality check. Video satires are not the problem. It’s the murder and criminal behavior that lead to such satire that deserve our scrutiny.

Satire in itself is OK. What is utterly disrespectful is the unathorized use
of this poor victims face to advance one’s own agenda, i.e. satire/critique
of the Canadian police. You Canadians have a problem with your police
and if you wish to deal with it then do it without involving and being disrespectful
to the victims.
On the other hand, Dziekanski’s face due to the widely circulated
video has become “public domain,” -the family of the victim and Polish
people should understand that their countryman’s face is now fair play
for the Canadian crowd.
