Want to hack a Boeing Dreamliner?

p2pnet news | Security:- Here’s an exploit with a difference —– hack Boeing’s new 787 Dreamliner, slated to take to the air on July 8.
That’s exactly what America’s Federal Aviation Authority is afraid a person or persons unknown might try to do, via the jet’s computer network, because designed to give passengers in-flight Net. access, it’s connected to the plane’s control, navigation and communication systems as well, says the FAA report.
To make matters worse, the Dreamliner’s computer systems have links to an airline’s business and administrative support network on the ground, continues Wired.
The FAA said tBoeing must address this before the Dreamliner is certified for commercial use beginning in July, says SC Magazine, going on:
“However, the federal agency has not implemented a request from the Air Line Pilots Association (ALPA) that Boeing provide 787 flight crews with the means to disable passengers’ ability to connect with the aircraft’s computer system.
“This is serious,” Wired has network security analyst Mark Loveless, “who presented a conference talk last year on Hacking the Friendly Skies (PowerPoint),” saying.
“This isn’t a desktop computer. It’s controlling the systems that are keeping people from plunging to their deaths. So I hope they are really thinking about how to get this right.”
Boeing is aware of the possibilities and has the situation in hand, say reports.

No matter what safeguards you put on a system, it will be cracked eventually. I wouldn’t put in-flight Net access on any plane.

ok you idiots at boeing.
The net access for the passengers should have been a completely separate system from the pilots control shit.
And also, why on earth should the Pilots have internet access.
They should be flying the plane not surfing porn.

When your pushing the envolpe of technology, there are bound to be some “bugs”. Obviously this situation will be addressed before consumers are put into the air. We all know that this needs to be fixed, because the T.S.A. are all afflicted with Downs Syndrome. So the possibility is good that a raghead may try to take down a plane with a DELL…
