Slight overkill IMO. Stern warning or grounded for a couple of weeks. Maybe take away his comp or something like that but not this. Don’t get me wrong I don’t see anything wrong with punishment but let it fit the crime. And what the hell was this?

Great to hear about a parent who cares. Even if you think it was harsh, at least she shows it matters to her. Very cool.

I would do the same thing if I caught my son with booze in the car.
I woiuld also be selling his Video Games and TV then install net nanny software on his computer.

method, i see your point, but i hope that my kids learn from my mistakes. i made a lot when i was 18-20, because people that age are generally stupid, and cannot be told that they are wrong. i say, props to the mother (word to his mother?) for sticking to her guns.

pretty stupid most likely the kid was 18 and that is considered a legal adult. what he does he is going to be responsible for.
