Sasser bounty man under suspicion

p2pnet.net News:- Marle B, the man said to have turned in Sasser author Sven Jaschan, is now apparently also under investigation and stands to lose the $250,000 bounty posted by Microsoft.

Expatica quotes Germany’s Focus magazine here as saying ‘Marle B’ is being investigated "on suspicions of computer sabotage".

The Focus report comes after public prosecutor Helmut Trentmann said five further people were under suspicion of releasing Netsky and that the five were all friends of Jaschan.

"There are indications that the whole group came from the one school," Trentmannis quoted as stating.

"Jaschan attended a 2,350-student trade-training college, a stage beyond secondary school, in the nearby town of Rotenburg."

After the arrest, Trentmann said Jaschan claimed he’d tried to write a "good" virus that repaired damage by "bad" viruses, adds Expatica.

Sasser wasn’t in and of itself malicious. However, it spread so rapidly that it infected millions of corporate and private PCs worldwide.

Kill them all, let the mortician sort them out.

Let this be a lesson to those who consider ratting out their friends in the future. Microsoft and other companies who place bounties really have no intention of paying you the reward money. They WILL find a way to not have to pay you…probably by making you look just as guilty as the accused.

Why? Do you put the maker of nails in jail when you get a flat tire? Ok, so this kid wrote a “virus” that explots a programming flaw in “gods” better know as Micro$ofts OS. Oh No, millions will be in trouble. Hey, why doesn’t Micro$oft test their programms before the release them? Why didn’t Microsoft find their FLAW before releasing the OS…(insert comment about Windows ME here). This guy pointed out a FLAW, MISTAKE, ERROR, in microsoft code…ya lets shoot him! By the way, next time you get a nail in your car tire…go shoot one of the employees at HomeDepot for selling nails.
