  1. JD2 Says:

    Grant Stanley
Offense: Admin of the private Bittorrent tracker Elitetorrents.
    Sentence: 5 months in prison.
Actual time spent: 5 months in prison, followed by five months of home detention, and a $3000 fine and forced to use MS windows.

Yes life as we know it is so screwed up… if you are famous you can get by with murder, when you are file sharing you get screwed by dirty old men in corporate offices…

  2. Reader's Write Says:

He was FORCED to us ms windows?

  3. Reader's Write Says:

Yes, forced to use MS windows, because spy software used by police is written in VB and works only in MS windows!

  4. George Heym Says:

In Pennsylvania, we have madatory jail sentences based upon the number of previous DUI convictions and the person’s BAC. It doesn’t matter who you are these sentences will apply and cannot be changed by a judge. While I am not a big fan of mandatory sentencing, it does do away with “special” considerations for celebs.
