Heath Ledger’s death still unexplained

p2pnet news | Movies:- The death of Australian star Heath Ledger remains unexplained as experts continue toxicology tests after an initial autopsy failed to reveal the cause of death.

“The 28-year-old was found naked and unresponsive in his bedroom at his Manhattan apartment Tuesday by his housekeeper and a masseuse,” says the Vancouver Province, going on:

“Police said prescription medications and a rolled-up $20 bill were found in the residence, but the Australian actor’s family insisted that his death had been “accidental.”

No illegal drugs were found.

Investigators, “confirmed that they had found a variety of prescription and non-prescription pills in the rented SoHo apartment where Ledger’s body was found,” fuelling rumours that an accidental overdose killed him, says the Independent, continuing:

“In November, the Australian-born star told The New York Times he had ’stressed out a little too much’ while working last year on The Dark Knight, the new Batman movie which is due to open this summer, and I’m Not There, an ensemble piece in which he was one of several actors portraying the singer Bob Dylan.

“He spoke of being prescribed pills for insomnia, but said they had ‘failed to work’. ‘Last week I probably slept an average of two hours a night,’ Ledger explained. ‘I couldn’t stop thinking. My body was exhausted, and my mind was still going’.”

Brad Renfro, who played the young witness to a mob lawyer’s suicide in the The Client, was last week found dead in his Los Angeles home.

He was only 25.
