Are mainstream media helping Scientology?

p2pnet news | Freedom:- If Operation Clambake owner Andreas Heldal-Lund is correct, the mainstream media are inadvertently performing an invaluable service for Scientology.
Run from Stavanger in Norway, Operation Clambake is an avowed enemy of the cult, saying it’s a “vicious” and “dangerous” outfit, masquerading as a religion. One would therefore think whatever was bad for Scientology would be good in Heldal-Lund’s eyes.
But that’ not the case.
Following the massive distribution on the Net of a video from Scientology actor Tom Cruise, and which continues to be a serious embarrassment for both him and the cult, a YouTube video went online, promising to be the downfall of Scientology.
It was posted by a group calling itself Anonymous.
This happened days ago and now the corporate press are onto it, ie:

Whose Internet is it anyway?
And more.
But, “Attacking Scientology like that will just make them play the religious persecution card,” warns Heldal-Lund.
“They will use it to defend their own counter actions when they try to shatter criticism and crush critics without mercy. I believe we are better than this cult and, face to face using democratic tools, most free and thinking individuals will see through their charade.”
And in a disclaimer, “We have not seen proof that CoS are victims of DDoS attacks,” says Operation Clambake, adding:
Perhaps all the hubbub over the Tom Cruise video caused an unexpected increase in legitimate traffic which their systems couldn’t take, and they maliciously try to blame the collapse of their sites on an imaginary DDoS. Perhaps they are honestly mistaking legitimate traffic for a DDoS. Perhaps they are indeed being DDoS’ed. It doesn’t really matter, it all boils down to the same: the very people who say they can solve all of humanity’s problems are not even capable of keeping a website up and running. This immense organization of ‘eight million’ brilliant, dedicated and disciplined people, of which a good percentage supposedly has supernatural abilities, is not even able to respond to a sudden increase in network traffic. The merchants of ‘the way to success’ prove to be an utter failure even in their own house.
So, are the lamescream media playing into Scientology’s hands?
Online events tend to take on a life of their own, no matter who started them, and only Scientologists like Scientology.
Stay tuned.

wait until the United nations tries to be the new “religion” for everyone on earth

It wouldn’t surprise me if the Church of Scientology made the video themselves to garner public sympathy. I hope this is not the case, though.

You guys need to listen to both sides before demonizing an entire RELIGION. Here’s a link to an interview with a scientology member responding to ANONYMOUS.

Phil: That “interview” is obviously a joke.
