This is a problem that is begining to grow in the world, censorship of internet, alternative press and so on.

For instance there is a guy who has been accused of sexual abuse and he even threats to censore an alternative news site that published his history. This is such a sick thing, and internet and press freedom is being really threatened in the world.

The article on this, is here: http://www.sott.net/articles/show/150512-Internet-Free-Speech-Under-Threat-Eric-Pepin-Higher-Balance-Institute-Sue-SOTT-for-4-47-Million-Over-SOTT-Forum-Comments-

It's not that difficult to imagine that an ISP like Sympatico in Canada would be a willing participant in such a scheme. Sympatico is partly own and operated by Bell, which also own many TV station thru Globemedia, and also own ExpressVu. I can see them trying to protect their pay-per-vu service by preventing the download of free movie.

"Developing filtering technology - Several million dollars
Deploying said filtering technology - Several million more dollars
Lost revenue due to defecting customers - Another several million more dollars

Seeing all the P2P authors implement encryption, rendering the filtering useless and the money spent on it wasted - Priceless!"

Oh So True!

> Having your isp checking up on what is being delivered to you, or what you are bringing in, is no different than having Canada Post checking up on what you are sending and receiving.

and the customs do check, from time to time.

But to think that this is acceptable - is a slave mentality, mentality of people without dignity. Unfortunately, too many think that everyone must follow whatever laws are thrown at them by The Man.

This way of thinking and planning has to end...we will not tolertate this intrusion. We pay for the isp service, and we certainly don't expect them to be spying on us!

while we are at it, lets close down all the major highways, because drug traffickers use them for transporting 'dangerous' substances. ugh.
