Aside from the numerical guestimate errors...

Students don't exactly have a large disposable income generally. Ok, maybe .5% of students come from very rich families who dump shitwads of cash on their offspring, but mostly it is the poorer trying to better themselves or those who are trying to garner a little more independence than living inside daddies pockets or to escape moving to the local prison or mental institutions.

Taking that little nugget into account, if it were impossible for students to download pron, movies and music, could they even afford to buy much or any at all? Once that is established, this is nothing more than a bandwagon attack on the more vulnerable sectors of society, a bit like ganging up on the easy target because you know (or think) they won't hit you back. It isn't just bullying, it is openly stereotyping and enacting prejudice. Yes, we all loved to bash the students, back in 1982.

So. Let's lower the estimate to losses of about how much the sons and daughters of executives in further education could afford alongside all the other costs of college life these types of airheads like to enjoy, like prostitutes, cocaine and anal lube.
