Yahoo, FoxyTunes’ new owner
p2pnet news | Music:- Yahoo may have disposed of Music Unlimited, doing a deal with RealNetworks, owner of the disgraced RealPlayer, and MTV for Rhapsody, but that doesn’t mean it’s given up.
A large portion of the company’s resources, “were being poured into this service,” blogs Yahoo! Music’s Ian Rogers, going on, “it was clear to us that we needed to make a major strategic shift”.
Music Unlimited subscribers can head off to Rhapsody which some time this year will be integrated into music.yahoo.com, he says.
Meanwhile, the move means the company came now focus on its acquisition of music agregator FoxyTunes, “a plug-in for either Firefox or Internet Explorer”, says Rogers.
He doesn’t sat how much Yahoo paid for the toolbar.
Not onkly but also, “Another new application, Blog Remix comes from Yahoo!’s Media Innovation Group and enables fans to remix their favorite MP3 blogs, notes WebProNews.
