Dear Jon,

The fact that this is your day job was the point of that bit from him, I believe. It was meant to imply that you aren’t very good at it, which I would have to agree with as this is my only observation of your works so far. I’d look up other bits and learn more about what you’ve written in the past, but I don’t really have the inclination to do so without it being about the Anon crusade against $cientology, so I’ll have to bid you adieu with a “Dude, what”?

Golly Jon, you could see the spelling of XENU in all those placards, yet, you still managed to get it wrong? Seriously, if you are going to attempt journalsim you need to be accurate. Or at least be able to read accurately. Oh well, you came across as a fool, really. Don’t give up your day-job. Because you’d certainly never put food on the table with presentations as you have provided in the above “story”.

I can’t figure out a few things here. Xenu, for example, isn’t that hard to spell, but you managed to find at least three ways to do it.

Xenu.net is not an Anonymous site. It is run by Andreas Heldal-Lund, a Norwegian critic of the “church.”

Jon, I don’t want to hurt your feelings, but this is just very poorly researched and badly written. The following sentence is wrong in so very many ways;
“Wearing Guy Fawkes masks, they massed outside HQs around the world to cult disrupt business.”

We were not there to “cult disrupt business.” We were there to inform people about the abusive behavior this organization has indulged in for far too long. You need to use your spell checker, assure yourself of the facts and proof your work before posting it.

And finally, what is this confabulation about Anonymous’ next target? The RIAA and MPAA? Did I miss the memo, or are you trying to stir up panic at the corporate level?

You are right about one thing. This began with the web, but it won’t end there. It has emerged into real life, with over 9000 participants joining to protest Scientology abuses (not beliefs) on an unprecedented global scale!

The next event will be on the Ides of March.
Expect us.

From all the videos I saw, there was no “storm”. Most of the “raids” (which Anon called them) were simply peaceful protests. The Atlanta, Georgia one attracted riot cops, but they didn’t bully the crowd. Even London was peaceful despite a huge turnout and lots of yelling.

Also, what is “xnut.net”? Some sort of castration website?

‘Storm’ was the wrong word to use. The problem is: I can only get so many words into a given headline and I wanted to convey this was considerably more than just a penny-anti demo.

As much as Anonymous loves free speech, someone should shut this guy up.

This article would have been more concise and a better reflection of what happened during the protests if it has been written in a made up language and filled with pictures of horses.

I cannot BELIEVE the amount of misinformation in this story! I can’t even touch on all of it without spending FAR MORE TIME than I’m willing…. But for starters, xenu.net is NOT nor WAS IT EVER a site operated by “Anonymous”.

Also, “peaceful protest” (which is what it was, with no large-scale protest-related arrests reported ANYWHERE) connotes something vastly different than a “storm”ing. What a piss-poor choice of words.

You need to re-examine your journalistic integrity. I think it’s on hiatus.
