Valentine’s Day: get your divorce here!

p2pnet news | Off Topic:- It’s Valentine’s Day, the day of love when in North America and Europe, lovers traditionally send cards and offer flowers and candy.

“The holiday is named after two among the numerous Early Christian martyrs named Valentine,” says the Wikipedia, going on:

“The day became associated with romantic love in the circle of Geoffrey Chaucer in High Middle Ages, when the tradition of courtly love flourished.”

CNN has an interesting roundup of how various peoples around the world are celebrating (or not) Valentine’s Day

Thailand has decided to turn away any couple who wants to file for divorce on Valentine’s Day, it says, quoting Suthep Pimpirat, assistant district chief of Roi Et, as originally reported in Bangkok’s The Nation.

“If a married couple shows up for a divorce, we will recommend they go back home and talk to clear up any misunderstanding,” it has him saying. “That may rekindle their love,”

On the other side of the world, WKLC-FM, a Charleston, West Virginia, classic rock radio station, sums up a lot of people’s feelings about the so-called holiday in its ‘I Hate Valentine’s Day’ promotion.

“Win a free Divorce Courtesy of ROCK 105 with Exclusive attorney services from Responsible Attorney Rusty Webb (good for 10 free hours of legal services) court costs / filing fees not included,” it says.

“Certain restrictions Apply. Be sure to complete the form below in its entirety, incomplete entries will not be considered.”

Meanwhile, a “hard-line Hindu political party” says it’ll have members patrol the central Indian city of Indore tomake sure couples don’t engage in “any kind of vulgar display of their love,” says CNN, adding:

“The Shiv Sena group said it will focus on botanical gardens and art galleries, among other places, and ‘if any youth was found to be teasing girls and offering them flowers or cards under pressure, his face will be blackened’.”

Not only but also, beware of email greeting cards proclaiming undying love, adds CNN.

They could be the Storm Worm virus.

“Once you click on a link to retrieve the card, the virus downloads on to your computer hard drive and infects it - kind of like the cyber equivalent of a sexually transmitted disease.”

Happy Valentine’s Day ;)
