Deputy dumps crippled man from wheelchair

p2pnet news | Off Topic:- Deputy Charlette Marshall-Jones is an, “outstanding employee,” a, “quality employee in every regard.”

That was a superior’s evaluation of a Florida correctional officer who dumped a paraplegic, who’s able to drive, out of his wheelchair when he was taken to jail following a traffic violation.

“On Jan. 29, video cameras in the Orient Road Jail booking room recorded the deputy raising a wheelchair and tipping Sterner onto the floor,” says Tampa Bay Online.

Now, “An internal affairs investigation is reviewing the actions of Marshall-Jones and three of her supervisors: Cpl. Steve Dickey, 45, Cpl. Decondra Williams, 36, and Sgt. Gary Hinson, 51. Marshall-Jones was suspended without pay, and the supervisors were suspended with pay,” says the story, going on, “Dickey, who is seen on the video smiling afterward, declined to talk about the investigation.”

But, “All I can say is I was not there during the incident,” he’s quouted as stating. “I did not view the incident.”

An apology was issued, says Tampa Bay Online:

But while the man, Brian Sterner, said it’s a good start, “he also wants the deputy charged with a felony for battery of a disabled person.

“A woman who answered the telephone at the home of the deputy, Charlette Marshall-Jones, said: ‘I feel positive. When I know I’m not wrong, I feel that way. … I do believe the truth will come out, but I can’t offer more than that’.”

Dickey is president of the Hillsborough detention deputies’ chapter of the West Florida Police Benevolent Association, the union that represents deputies.

A number of videos of the incident arenow on YouTube.

  1. Reader's Write Says:

What a bitch! She should be fired! We can not afford roten cop in this coutry nor should we tolerate them!

What did the victm do to be taken to the police station? Did he break the speed limit with his well shair or something? Oh! I know! May be he assaulted someone?

What the police department is going to do a bout this? Nothing? Do we have to do justice ourselves?

    Just asking.

  2. LikeThatsNotTypical Says:

The officers are ALL black that are involved…

The guy in the wheelchair is white…

If the races had been reversed, you can bet your sweet cheese mangos that Jesse “hymetown” Jackson and Al “RacePimp” Sharpton would have been all over this crying about how it was a “hatecrime” and it only happened “because he was black”.

When in reality, the reason why this happened is because this is what happens when you force white people to hire someone based on their
skin-color instead of their qualifications and expertise.

Oh, and you can bet, the black cops acted like this guy threw HIMSELF out of the wheelchair…because as we all know, black people, even
black cops, can’t EVER be expected to tell the truth, no matter how much evidence shows to the contrary.

And don’t even get me started about the JENA bullshit….it’s perfectly OK for 6, not one, but SIX, black guys to beat the crap out of ONE white kid….but according to black people, not only is that perfectly acceptable behavior, but it’s supposed to be justified because a black
person became offended over something that never had anything to do with them in the first place.

Black people just flat out disgust me.

  3. STERNer than Brian Says:

If that blatant display of brutality happened to me I would do everything in my power to bring that useless piece of flesh down to the ground where those ‘’serpents” belong… power trips, egos, and it even seems SOULS go unchecked in these types of facilities…what these fucks do for a paycheck astounds me…I hope this bitch gets run through the system and is treated with all the same “respect’ she has given to others throughout her supposed “career”
karma is a bitch, and it seems so are you

  4. NY Law Student Says:

Well, stepping away from the racial comments, which I’m not sure if I should take seriously, I’d have to say that this is outrageous behavior on the part of the police. I’m not certain of the motivation behind dumping a disabled man from his wheel chair. Perhaps it was a Lebowski-esque attempt to reveal a goldbricking fraud? Regardless, there is an obligation on the part of the police and local district attorney’s office to bring charges against the deputy involved. Moreover, I would say that it would be wise for the man involved to bring some other claims including some violation of the ADA regarding his time and treatment in the jail as well as a civil suit against the deputy. Bleed her dry and leave a husk of a former person, destitute and remorseful over ever doing something so stupid when there’s video rolling.
