p2pnet news | Games:- Under the No Big Surprise heading, Bill and the Boyz may be planning to launch a Blu-ray Xbox 360 as early as May this year.
Toshiba ands friends are all-but out of the picture with their HD DVD (supported by Microsoft, among others), meaning it’ll soon be Blu-Ray prime time.
With a Blu-Ray Xbox 360, Microsoft will be able to go, “head to head with the Sony PS3 gaming console which has been credited with being one of the main reasons that retailers have preferred Blu-ray over Toshiba’s HD DVD,” says SmartHouse, going on:
“Insiders at Microsoft in the USA have told SmartHouse that Microsoft has already configured a standalone Blu-ray player that can be connected into an Xbox 360 and that subject to internal marketing and sales approvals the model could be on sale within 3 months.
“The Company has also been working on a built in Blu-ray player however insiders are claiming that Microsoft see the HD format battle moving online with consumers offered 1080p movie and content files as a download as opposed to having to buy a HD DVD or Blu-ray disc.”

NO match? hahahahahhahahahahhahahahahahahahahahhaha Seriously. are you on Sony’s payroll? you should probably do your homework before you make such statements. Either way, I’m glad you don’t own a 360. I’d rather not run into you playing games on Live.

Davehater your right.. 360 and PS3 are pretty much equal. They have the same games (although Microsoft have licenced the biggest selling game of all time.. Halo 3) and both have HDMI gaming. Also with the elite console (and rumored ultimate console) it has significantly larger hard drive.
PS3 has the advantage in movie viewing with Blu-Ray seeing as all the movie companies are now back it. However 360 has the distinct upper hand with online gaming with Xbox Live. It is way more advanced and better than PS3’s online capabilities
360 RULES!!!
