Canadian firm sues Intel
p2pnet.net News:- All Computers Inc, a small Canadian company, is suing Chipzilla for $500 million, claiming its Pentium chips infringe an All Computers patent issued in 1996 for circuitry used to replace slower speed microprocessors with faster devices in computers.
The Toronto company hasn’t made products for years, says a Bloomberg report here, quoting its lawyer as saying, “The business of the business right now is to enforce this patent” and that the lawsuit was filed today in federal court in Alexandria, Virginia, known as the ‘Rocket Docket’ “because cases proceed quickly there”.
“All Computers claims it pioneered the technology that helped companies make faster personal computers,” says Bloomberg, adding that Intel spokesman Chuck Mulloy said, “We have not seen the complaint, therefore any comment at this point would be inappropriate.”

We do appologize for not spotting this sooner. The constant steam rolling of companies is hard to keep on top of.
