Heath Ledger a Hollywood ‘tragedy’

p2pnet news | Movies:- Australia’s Heath Ledger, who died in January from a reported prescription drug overdose, is a “tragic” example of what a Hollywood career can do, says Lindsay Lohan.
She poses as Marilyn Monroe for a New York magazine photo shoot and her observation about Ledger comes in the story accompanying the series.
“It’s eerie,” Lohan says of a painting she has of Monroe.
A Christmas gift, “there’s a big bottle of pills next to her, and they’ve fallen over,” the magazine quotes her as saying.
“Lohan called Monroe’s suicide ‘tragic,’ and then added, elliptically, ‘You know, it’s also tragic what just recently happened to someone else’,” Lohan tells the writer, Amanda Fortini, who goes on:
I asked whether she was referring to Heath Ledger. She nodded: “They are both prime examples of what this industry can do to someone.”
Why some and not others, I asked, since it has often seemed that the thrice-rehabbed Lohan might meet a similar fate.
Lohan replied with a flicker of annoyance: “I don’t know. I’m not them. But I sure as hell wouldn’t let it happen to me.”
Still, “one wonders whether Lohan’s participation in this project, given all the spooky parallels, isn’t the photographic equivalent of moving into a haunted house,” Fortini adds.
