LOS ANGELES/February 28/newswire – Responding to advertisers anger over a recent “profanity-filled” video sketch on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, it has been reported that ABC Television (A Disney Company) has initiated “discussions” with Canadian late-night television personality, David Bronstein about possibly taking over hosting duties for the ill-fated late-night program. Kimmel, who’s show has been plagued by low ratings since it’s inception recently featured a sketch by his girlfriend/comedian Sarah Silverman and actor Matt Damon where they repeatedly uttered “bleeped” out words for the duration of the approximately two-minute video. The video has gotten widespread attention in all media — most notably YouTube. David Bronstein, a Canadian transplant from Philadelphia, is well known in Canada for his daily video blog (BronsteinsWorld.com) and his late night hosting duties of various Canadian comedy programs and commercials. Neither ABC’s Executive V.P. of Production Barry Jossen nor Bronstein could be reached for comment.
