I just finished reading his autobiography and it's clear that his father was, but he hardly knew his father. He met the guy 2-3 times in his life. How that makes him a Muslim I'll never know. He was raised mainly by his white grandparents in Hawaii. Sure he has a few friends that are Muslim, but so do I, and Hindu and Jewish for that matter. Does it make me Muslim, Hindu, or Jewish?
