Hendrix drummer Buddy Miles dies
p2pnet news | Music:- Former Jimi Hendrix drummer Buddy Miles has died at the age of 60.
He co-founded Band Of Gypsys with Hendrix and, "often decked out in sequined clothes and an enormous Afro, went on to drum on Hendrix’s landmark ‘Electric Ladyland’ album before officially joining the group with bassist Billy Cox a few months later, says Glide Magazine.
Miles was introduced to music at a young age by his father, who played in a band called the Bebops, says the Los Angles Times.
He also played with Wilson Pickett, the Delfonics and the Ink Spots.
His career spans over 49 years including 70 albums, six world tours, TV specials, charity events, TV commercials and music videos," says his web site, adding:
"Buddy has performed with the biggest names in music Stevie Wonder, Muddy Waters, Barry White, David Bowie, George Clinton, Santana and Bootsy Collins."
