Jeff Healey — dead at 41

p2pnet news | Music:- Amazing Canadian rock and blues guitarist Jeff Healey has died on the eve of a new album release.
Cancer robbed him of his sight when he was only one and last year, cancerous tissue was surgically removed from his legs and later from both lungs.
“Healey picked up his first guitar at three, and – by playing the instrument flat on his lap – patented a revolutionary technique that went on to become a trademark of his performance,” says his web site.
“By the age of six, Healey was playing and singing in public. Once he reached his teens, the guitarist had already played in several bands, and experimented with numerous musical genres.
“At the age of fourteen, Healey had become the principal music specialist at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, routinely airing vintage selections from his now 25,000-strong collection of 78 rpm recordings for his weekly radio broadcast.”
Healey leaves behind his wife, Cristie, 13-year-old daughter Rachel and three-year-old son Derek, says CTV.
He was only 41.

A number of years ago a dear friend of mine purchased 8 tickets for his friends….to the “Key to Bala”..to see Jeff Healey….the evening was to say the least ‘electric’…Jeff was amazing and totally blew me away!!!! we were in the first 3 rows seating and danced the night away..WOW!!!!….now, with extreme sadness, both my (best) friend ‘Scott’ who purchased the tickets (sans gratis) and Jeff (both in the fortys) are in the great beyond…I do hope they connect in Heaven…..
