But it’s being touted by its maker, Logicube, as a law enforcement hard drive duplicator.
At $2,249, it’s, "designed specifically for the requirements of law enforcement, corporate security, and cyber crime investigation of forensic computer data," says the company here.
"This hand-held IDE hard drive data capturing system is ideal for fast disk drive data seizure. Using its built-in CRC-32 engine, the SF-5000 allows for imaging speeds in excess of 1.8 GB/min."
It also boasts USB capture at speeds up to 700 mb/min.

Wow! USB2 is a max of 480mb/sec not allowing for any overhead, and this little gadget can capture at 700mb/sec???
What’s that? USB3???
