Google and you

p2pnet news | Security:- All you people who’ve been thinking the sole objective of the people who run Google is to acquire power and billions of dollars are wrong.
Dead wrong.
Google is on the earth to help you run your life more efficiently.
It says so, right there on the official Google blog, which states >>>
As many of you know, we spend a lot of time around here thinking about new products to help you run your life more efficiently, whether that’s organizing email in a better way, sharing pictures with friends, or collaborating in real time on documents.
What you may not know is that we also spend a lot of time thinking about the security that goes into those products, and more specifically the ways we can protect you and your private information.
And we thought they spent hours and hours trying to figure out how to monetize all that lovely, priceless private information they’ve gathered without upsetting the owners and falling foul of privacy advocates.
But No! "We carefully manage access to confidential information of any sort, and very few Googlers have access to what we consider very sensitive data," and, "Of course, the limited number of people who are granted access to sensitive data must have special approval," the company’s Douglas Merrill assures us in fulsome PR-speak.
So that’s OK.
