Bad language hurts PG movies

p2pnet news | Movies:- PG-rated movies without a lot of bad language made the most money at the US box office.
Not only but also, “Internet buzz about a horror film had little relation to its eventual box office draw,” says PreView, a new report series launched by the Nielsen Co at ShoWest in Las Vegas.
“Other films, however, saw paydays increase in relation to Web chatter,” continues the Associated Press.
“Parents are choosing PG films for their kids that have very, very low levels of profanity,” it has Nielsen’s Dan O’Toole saying.
“The reality is that profanity, within PG, is the big demarcation between box office winner and box office loser,” he stated.
The first PreView installment, “analyzed the boxoffice performance of 400 recent films, finding that titles grossing at least $100 million in sales are likely to have received elevated levels of attention on blogs,” says the Hollywood Reporter.
“The study also examines other aspects of film-related research, including how 3-D distribution and PG ratings affect boxoffice performance.”
