Swedish ISPs become copyright cops

p2pnet news | Freedom:- The entertainment cartels have notched up another victory in Sweden, which, like Britain and Ireland, is fast taking on the aspect of a tightly controlled corporation rather than a free country.
There, the courts will be able to, “force internet service providers in Sweden to give out IP-addresses used in illegal file sharing to whoever owns the rights to the material,” says The Local, going on:
“The government is now united in how to approach the issue, write Minister of Justice Beatrice Ask and Minister of Culture Lena Adelsohn Liljeroth in the opinion pages of newspaper Svenska Dagbladet.”
But rights holders, “must be able to prove that an internet service subscription has been used for infringement, the ministers point out,” says the story, addding:
“With the new proposal, the government is effectively rejecting an alternative proposal put forward by in a report by appeals court judge Cecilia Renfors which called for internet service providers to shut down subscribers who repeatedly downloaded films and music without permission.
The government will not move ahead with Renfors’s proposal, adds The Local.

Money is power and can corrupt any governement. The good news is that theses parasites are emoraging money since they started to sue their one customer and their ability to corrupt is weakening as we speak.
Beter for them because otherwise we would have to shoot them all one by one.
