Funny how some silly little girl (Brittany huh, probably a blond cheerleader) had to go ruin a good thing by taking it too literally. It was obvious the person was "musing aloud" and I saw no inherent threat in the words. Too bad that the term "free speech" no longer means anything in the "land of the free"...sometimes makes we want to move to Antigua or maybe even Canada....no, nix that last one.

If you think you have anonymity on the internet, you are naive.

It's entirely possible to be a ghost, indeed, on the net. It does require, patience, research and a willingness to do it, however.

It is debatable about whether he should have been arrested or not, but it was stupid to say that on the internet. Big Brother is always watching.

People have no sense of humor anymore. It's clear that he wasn't serious. At most, they should have sent a cop over to his home to tell him to knock it off. Just the sight of a cop showing up on his doorstep would probably have him crapping his pants.

How long will it be until we have people being arrested for saying that they're going to "shooting" someone in photography class the next day? Or for saying that they're going to "bomb" at a public appearance?

WTF? So, killing enemy solders in the “war on terror” gets encouraged, but a parody of this whole overprotective society gets serious attention? No offense, but as a kid(7th grader with an understanding of this “series of tubes”), my standards are set like this: Oh, there is a war going on. All the news outlets and the teachers/police/other people all support rooting out “terrorists”, and killing is okay. So, whenever someone talks about how someone got killed while doing x, I really could care less. It is only one person.

The irony of it all the Americans run around pretending to save everyone and they are the ones in the deepest shit on the planet.
I've seen so much crap about America i wouldn't take a vacation there even if they'd pay me to do it.
I love Europe,i love Europe.
