For sale: me and my life

p2pnet news | Advertising:- Ian Usher says he doesn’t want it any more.
His life, that is.
So he’s selling it. And himself. And everything.
“No, I’m not contemplating suicide, I am going to sell my life!! – says Usher on his web page over in Australia.
“I am still not sure whether this is inspired madness, complete foolishness, or just some sort of mid-life crisis,” he says. But he’s selling it all, “Everything I have and everything I am.”
And, “On the day it is all sold and settled I intend to walk out of my front door with my wallet in one pocket and my passport in the other, nothing else at all, and get on the train, with no idea where I am going or what the future holds for me.”
Why?
Because, “I met and married the best girl in the world. I loved her with all my heart, and she loved me back too. However, after over twelve years together and five years of fantastic married happiness, I was hit with a bolt from the blue … I was blindsided at about 11pm on a Wednesday evening by a shocking and awful discovery.”
Ian, originally from the UK, leaves the rest to your imagination.
He’s also selling a book about his life.
“It tells the story of my life in the UK prior to moving to Australia, working on the beach as a jet ski hire business owner, of how I met the girl I was to marry later, of the struggles we went through to be together, of how we eventually came to live in Australia, and of what happened here to bring me to this point in my life, ready to get rid of everything that I am and was,” he says of it, adding:
“My plan is to release the story in four books, made up of twelve parts, one book released in the middle of each month in the run up to the auction, the final book bringing the story right up to date just one week before the auction starts.
“It is a very personal story, and I have been very hesitant about publishing it. I have also wondered about the potential arrogance of presenting such a personal tale, and assuming that anyone else will be even remotely interested in it, although I guess that any autobiography assumes this same, slightly self-absorbed stance.”

He discovered that “she” used to be a “he”?

That´s kinda weird, but it caught my curiosity, at least. I would read it, no kidding. That book is surely going to be written with more soul that 99.9% of the current literature. And I was left wondering what happened, did the girl die, or was “she” a trans….., or did she had a brutal illness?. And no, the web page doesnt respond.

So you found me ….
Sorry, you’ll have to come back in days.
This site will go live on the 14th of March 2008, 100 days before the big event.

Not sure if this is really what it seems to be or only an attention-getting stunt, perhaps both?

Sharing is caring, so – what about posting the books on The Pirate Bay?

Well the guy’s got my curiosity. I would actually be quite interested in reading this, if only to find out just what this shocking discovery was.

I don’t know if this is true, but for those who are curious, this is from an article at http://www.dailymail.co.uk/pages/live/articles/news/news.html?in_article_id=537609&in_page_id=1770
“To find out what happened, internet users will have to make a one-off payment of A$2.95 — about £1 — to download four parts of Usher’s autobiography, which contains graphic details of his relationship with Laura. ”
…
“The first part is free and the three subsequent parts will be released in the middle of each month in the run up to the auction on June 22.”
“The key question — just what happened to his marriage — will not be revealed until the final part just days before bidding commences at noon.”
“Those who pay up may be a little disappointed. The ’shocking and awful discovery’ to which Usher refers is not as dramatic as he hints.”
“On that fateful night, according to one friend, Usher’s wife Laura, originally from Baguley in Cheshire, simply told him that she no longer loved him and wanted to move on with her life.”
Later, the author of the article adds:
“And a quick glance at Part One suggests that his skills as an author are no match for his talent as a publicity-seeker.”
