Porn star Jeremy vs online ‘pirates’

p2pnet news | Movies:- Porn star (?) Ron Jeremy (right, in his youth) says he’s waged a war against sites featuring porn movies without permission.
Who the f— do they think they are? – he asks.
Given the profession of the speaker, it’s an interesting choice of expletives
He, “can’t understand why sites like YouPorn and PornTube escape punishment for showing full-length adult films without authorization – because no online organization would dare broadcast a mainstream Hollywood movie without consent, for fear of the consequences,” continues StarPulse.
So, “Jeremy is battling to eradicate this double-standard and win the porn industry ‘the same respect’ as the mainstream movie business, and he’s starting by offering his full backing to an adult production company – Vivid Entertainment – that is taking YouPorn and PornTube to court over unauthorized transmissions of their films,” says the story, which has him adding:
“Piracy is piracy, whether the film is PG, R or X. We deserve the same respect.”

âPiracy is piracy, whether the film is PG, R or X. We deserve the same respect.â
No you don’t, you filthy piece of shit.
“He canât understand why sites like YouPorn and PornTube escape punishment for showing full-length adult films without authorization”
Maybe because nobody gives a shit about an industry that profits from filth, exploitation, objectification, and prostitution.

“How different is this with the RIAA/MPAA shit, the britney-slut and the madona crap?”
Good point; I hadn’t thought of that. He’s right, they do deserve the same respect: zero.

That story is pretty damn funny. You go get ‘em… um, who the f___ was that guy again?

Actually I think we need a “Bring back Ron Jeremy” campaign. A return to a time when porn was funny and entertaining rather than ugly and frankly, vicious.

Don’t worry Ron Jeremy, I give you and your industry the same respect (if not more) than I give to the **AAs, IFPI and other similar organizations.
P.S. You won’t win by suing your customers either.

I support the porn industry. I understand that many of you feel it is inherently evil. I disagree. Porn and prostitution provide outlets for people. they let them blow off steam. There is no credible research that consumption of violent erotica increases violent behavior, or that consumption of porn in general breeds disrespect for women. There is some credible research towards the opposite, but that is sparse because conducting research on the links between porn consumption and behavior is difficult because of the moralizing of self-righteous assholes.
I agree with jbond – i have noticed a mean streak in the recent porn. its not for me, but if its what some people want, they can have it. I’ll stick with the porn produced in the 70s and 80s (which is largely nolonger available in stores, so, bittorrent…I like the ones based on Hollywood movies. Edward Penishands killed me). But the debate of whether we are going to have porn at all….thats not a debate we get to have. That topic is off the table. We ARE going to have porn, no matter what. The debate we DO get to have is ‘what kind of porn are we going to have’. Are we going to have safe, clean, professional, studio porn where people get disease testing, any violence is simulated, people sign contracts and want to be there, and get paid mad fat cash for their services, or are we going to have an illegal underground porn industry which is worse than anything you can probably imagine?
Whatever moral stance you take on piracy is irrelevant to the moral stance you take on the media in question. Its easy to justify pirating porn because you consider it immoral, but thats just wrong thinking. Its just not logicly correct. The two issues are totally separate. If the amount of respect that hollywoods (C) deserves is zero, then porn deserves the same. Jeremy is right, i just think the solution is the reformatting of antiquated copyright laws, not for the porn studios to jump in the boat with the MPAA.

I’ve looked at the sites mentioned in the article and all I saw were crappy little short clips, not full-length videos.
As for porn itself, regular, vanilla porn is boring. Most people fast-forward through half of it anyway. Not to mention that I’m not the least bit turned on by bleached blondes with skin that looks like brown leather and who have over-inflated beach balls for breasts.

When fat Ron was making his movies, hardcore porn was illegal in a lot of places and Ron made quid a few dollars out of “illegal stuff”. What goes around “comes” around Ron.

yea, the Jizz Bizz had its moments of dangling into “illegal” activities. Ron was a Mighty Man in his day and made alot of money. people are going to fornicate and the porn industry is going to make money, one way or another, so Ron needs to chill his pickle and be content that he made his contribution to the Jizz Bizz.
