p2pnet.net News:- The Star of Unisplendour, China’s first chess-playing computer, has completed all its tests and is apparently now ready for its June contest with Chinese chess Queen Zhu Chen.

“The super lap-top displayed its powerful calculation capabilities during the tests, achieving scores of up to 2,600, 100 points more than Zhu Chen’s best,” says ChinaTechNews.com here.

The human versus machine contest will be the first of its kind in China, “a female edition of the high-profile fight between Russian chess legend Gary Kasparov and IBM,” says the story.
