p2pnet news | Freedom:- Protesters torched Dutch flags in Afghanistan ahead of Fitna, a 15-minute Dutch film holding the Koran up as a “fascist” text inciting violence and preaching the oppression of women and homosexuals, said the Independent at the beginning of the month.
It was made by Geert Wilders, a, “nationalist Dutch lawmaker who leads his own ‘Party for Freedom’ which favours, among other things, the banning the Qur’an in Holland because, he argues, it contravenes Dutch law and is a ‘fascist book’,” says the story, going on:
“An unapologetic critic of Islam, Mr Wilders’ rabidly populist rhetoric has won him both fans and enemies in a country already strained with religious tension following the murder of the controversial Dutch film-maker Theo Van Gogh by an Islamist extremist in 2004.’
“Fearing for the lives of Dutch citizens abroad (but not wanting to look like it is muzzling free speech),” the Dutch government asked Wilders not to release the video but said it wouldn’t stop him if he did, says the Independent.
Wilders was promoting his film online but now, “This site has been suspended while Network Solutions is investigating whether the site’s content is in violation of the Network Solutions Acceptable Use Policy. Network Solutions has received a number of complaints regarding this site that are under investigation,” says Network Solutions, which had been hosting Wildsers’ www.fitnathemovie.com.
Dutch news website Nu.nl contacted Wilders, says Klein Verzet.
“He is investigating the matter and says: ‘How many possible ways are their for sabotage’?” - says the blog.
“If everything fails, I will go hand out DVD in public myself,” it has Wilders declaring. “What a world are we living in? In spite of all obstruction, I will not give up, Fitna will be seen soon.”
In an undated story, Crosswalk has Network Solutions saying it’s, “ready for any electronic attacks that may come its way for hosting a Web site featuring a provocative short film that is critical of the Koran”.
An EU spokeswoman said a memo sent to EU missions abroad had given officials guidelines on how to respond to queries about the film, it says, adding:
“Christiane Hohmann was quoted as saying staff were advised to stress that ‘tolerance and freedom of speech’ are valued highly in Europe.”
The Arabic word Fitna, “loosely encompasses the idea of absolute chaos or schism within a religious community (violent jihadis frequently describe the world as being in a state of fitna and encourage each other to ‘restore” justice by waging jihad),’ says the Independent.

I’m proficient in Gibberish even tho I dropped out at the Kindergarten level.
Here’s what it says: Islam is a religion of peace meant to ensure the freedom of it’s believers by the teachings of the Koran.
Then the writer’s telling you: Don’t misinterpret or abuse the Koran.
In the last few sentences, the writer’s predicting dire consequences if you do the above. Allah’s gonna strike you dead if you say anything bad about muslims and the prophet of the muslims.
Quite the paradoxical message don’t you think? “We’re peace loving and Allah loves you but if you piss him we’re gonna have to kill you.”
