Is Hillary Clinton related to Pierre Trudeau?

It’s certain the one depends on the other, and the other way around, but just how close is the connection?

Last fall, The Chicago Sun-Times revealed that Senator Barack Obama and Vice President Dick Cheney are distant cousins. On Tuesday, the New England Historic Genealogical Society said Mr. Obama had at least six presidents in his very, very extended family, including President Bush and his father, Gerald R. Ford, Lyndon B. Johnson, Harry S. Truman and James Madison. Can you see Mr. Obama’s resemblance to Brad Pitt? Well, no. Because their common ancestor lived 11 generations ago, the chance that they share genes is minuscule. But for genealogists of “notable kin,” ninth cousins count. For her part, Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton is the ninth cousin twice removed of Angelina Jolie, with whom she shares French-Canadian roots. That the rival candidates should be linked with both members of Hollywood’s leading couple is a coincidence, said D. Brenton Simons, president of the 163-year-old genealogical society, which has been at work researching the candidates’ kin for months with collaborators around the country. Mrs. Clinton’s other relatives of note include Jack Kerouac, Madonna, Celine Dion, Alanis Morissette, and Camilla Parker-Bowles, wife of Prince Charles.
Clinton’s French-Canadian roots are interesting. It seems she has linkage with famed former Canadian prime minister Pierre Elliott Trudeau.
Noteablekin.org doesn’t say anything about whether or not the current Canadian prime minister, George W. Harper, is in any way related to outgoing US president George W. Bush.
But anyway, “While family trees such as these throw up interesting links, genetically they are meaningless,” says the Guardian, adding:
“While children carry half the genes of their father, cousins as far removed as Obama and Bush would have no more genetic link than someone they bumped into at random in the street.”
And way, way, way back, we’re all related ;p

Well i guess we now know why Hillary supported NAFTA…it’s all in the genes..the Canadian genes….Also explains the 5 minute long mispeaking session that she had recently. She’s got the genes to ‘create lyrics’ with the best of ‘em….Celine, Alanis, Madonna….literally the best of ‘em! If they dig deep enough they’ll find she’s also related to Pinocchio…
