Man faces online child luring charges
p2pnet news | Crime:- Information supplied by Cybertip.ca, created to report online sexual exploitation of children, has led to a 23-year-old Toronto man facing two counts of luring a child under 14, attempted exposure and attempted invitation to sexual touching.
He’s also accused of sending the children sexually explicit pictures, police said, according to the Canwest News Service.
Tyler Haas, 23, was said to have engaged in sexually explicit conversations with two children, states the story.
Cybertip is owned and operated by the Canadian Centre for Child Protection.
“On average,” it says, ” Cybertip.ca receives over 700 reports and 800,000 hits to its website per month. All reports that are in contravention of the Criminal Code (Canada) are sent to police for possible investigation.
“As of January 2008, reports to the tipline had resulted in 32 arrests and the removal of 2,850 websites from the Internet.”
