Brolin, Howell, both cast as Bush

p2pnet news | Movies:- “This is going be interesting,” p2pnet posted in January. “Oliver Stone hopes to cast Josh Brolin as George W. Bush in a biopic (farce? ;) ) of soon to be ex-president George W. Bush.”

It seems the hope has become reality.

Brolin is George W and Elizabeth Banks, “an indie comedienne who had memorable roles in The 40-Year-Old Virgin and the Spider-man series,” will play Laura Bush, says Guardian America.

James Cromwell, “the kindly farmer from Babe,” will be Bush #1, and Ellen Burstyn has been hired as Barbara Bush.

But it doesn’t stop there.

“Soul Man” actor and former teeny star C. Thomas Howell has the George W role in a political satire, Commander-And-Chief, says PR-Inside.

It adds, “the comedy can only loosely suggest Howell is Bush, because of the content of the film, but a movie spokesperson says, ‘There’s no mistaking who he is supposed to be’.”

I thought satire was supposed to allow for actors to portray real people without their approval?
