"End Of Cycle"?! Is that an actual thing? Like an official Scientology doctrine, or was it just a clever joke? What a terrifying concept.

some of the signs:
scientology forces its female memebers to get abortions
religion is free, scientology is not
scientology is not a religion

and while other religions are obviously better, people fail to see that it is a choice to support scientology or any other cause that a person wants to. Idiots are free to think their idiotic thoughts... although I do agree with the education part of this movement.

"GrnApl Says:"

"People into mass drugging dislike Scientology. Simple enough."

Actually, people in favor of human rights, in favor of freedom of speech, and against the slavery of children dislike the CoS. The CoS only pretends to be at war with physciatrists, because they are the ones who can explain how dangerous the CoS's brainwashing is.

The time the CoS could escape the inexorable truth is over. The lies and deceit are over. Time to start educating yourself, rather than subjecting yourself to hypnosis and brainwashing. It will be very lonely living in a world where no one is left believing the lies except for you. Xenu.net

The CoS was one of the main reasons that one of the first anonymous remailers to allow anonymous email and newsgroup posting, the Penet remailer, was shut down. People used it to post the secret CoS writings, documents that the CoS says are dangerous or even deadly to read by the untrained. How many people do you know of that died from reading a cult's silly brainwashing crap? What they really meant was that if people could read this stuff for free, they wouldn't be able to milk them for every cent they're worth.

Maggie, with all due respect...it is about the IRS and whether they are a religion or not (NOT!). Why? Because the money this cult should be paying in taxes is now subsidized by US! AMERICANS! Think about it...for every penny they scam the U.S. Government out of - we have to pay for. And that is just in this country. It's all about the money...without it...they wouldn't exist. Can we say that about other religions??? NO. Period.

I don't hate Scientologists, I simply want them to take responsibility for their organization; there is no informed consent, no financial transparency, and no independent research that confirms their claims.

It's not about whether Scientology is a "bona fide religion" or even if the IRS should be an arbiter of religiosity. It's about abuses of people and the law, all over the world:

"I think that the protections that we enjoy for freedom of worship exist
so long as we don’t step over the line. When religious worship and
belief cross over into things like fraud, victimization of others and
the disruption of the political arena, that protection is no longer
appropriate."

                --Robert Goff

The abuses primarily stem from Scn, Inc's inability to correct itself:

"A walk down the path of history is crunchy with the crispy corpses of those who pooh-poohed or ignored the clown car of ridicule when it pulled up to the curb."

Of course a Scientologist is going to say how great Scientology is. They're either paid to say so, brainwashed to say so, or fear being called in for ethics - where the Scientologist will be brutally interrogated to see if they have any doubt about Scientology at all. You know what happens if their crude lie detector finds that out? They get kicked out of Scientology. What happens if you're feeling doubts towards Christianity? The sensible thing. You get asked why you're having doubts, and then someone might try and convince you to remain in the religion.

Why does Scientology force such a corrupt method to keep Scientologists in Scientology? Money. Cash flow. Lose a Scientologist, there goes $100,000 or more that Scientology could have had.

Yeah, I'm -sure- there's no bias on the words of a Scientologist.

Way I see it, Scientology is a legal religion. Fine, you can have your religion and practice it too- partly. I, personally, find myself very against some of the CoS practices, such as 'Fair Game.' I also find I heavily dislike their antagonization of those who are critics of the church. I have to partly play Devil's Advocate here- I think the death threats or cyberattacks or such attacks on CoS are neither necessary nor particularly productive- that only creates sympathy for CoS, not it's victims, though I should add CoS isn't too good at their counterattacks either- they're so ignorant of how anonymous works (anonymousexposed) it's too pitiful to even laugh at. I have to give my full support to Anonymous and everyone who partakes in the peaceful protests against Scientology, and not the more threatening/damaging forms of protest.

Regarding
"True, Scientology’s general bigoted and uneducated phobia of psychiatry that have led to suicides and even, recently in the news, killings by urging people not to seek professional help, even when they are obviously in dire need of it, is a cause for alarm. But that’s not the main reason why I am skeptical of Scientology. I’m not one to believe in ADD, ADHD, or Ritalin. I’m wary of over medication since I’ve seen some of the side effects it has had on my family"

Not only are psychotropics a bad idea, it is also a bad idea to stop the prescription abruptly. But even when it is not involuntarily abruptly stopped, a phenomena referred to by psychiatrists as agnosognosia convinces the person to stop taking his prescription which is often subsequently followed by homicides and /or suicides.

Drugs' double-edged sword

Anyone who thinks psychiatrists and the pharmaceuticals have our best interests rather than profits in mind need to do some more research as indicated by the following links:

Neurologist Dr. Fred Baughman talks about the fraud of ADHD and the poisoning of U.S. children

Outrage! Preschoolers used as guinea pigs in psychotropic drug tests

You can do your own research by googling "psychiatry" along with other words like "psychotropics lobotomies", "Hitler", "ritalin death" for a start.

In the time I spent in Scientology I was brainwashed into believing the unbelievable. I could no longer stay after they asked me to kill a Scientology critic and then perform an EOC, or End of Cycle (meaning kill yourself so Scientology can wash its hands of you).

Scientology is the most dangerous cult known to man today

In the time I spent in Scientology I was brainwashed into believing the unbelievable. I could no longer stay after they asked me to kill a Scientology critic and then perform an EOC, or End of Cycle (meaning kill yourself so Scientology can wash its hands of you).

Scientology is the most dangerous cult known to man today

"People into mass drugging dislike Scientology"

That is the most inane, superficial analysis of the motivations of this protest I have seen. Well, that's not completely true, I've seen worse. But the point still stands. Educate yourself more or place foot in mouth,

True, Scientology's general bigoted and uneducated phobia of psychiatry that have led to suicides and even, recently in the news, killings by urging people not to seek professional help, even when they are obviously in dire need of it, is a cause for alarm. But that's not the main reason why I am skeptical of Scientology. I'm not one to believe in ADD, ADHD, or Ritalin. I'm wary of over medication since I've seen some of the side effects it has had on my family.

I'm disillusioned by Scientology's corruption in the institution that has dated back since early on its conception, the malicious attacks on critics, their need to copyright and suppress information- even to those who want to freely practice LRon Hubbard's teachings [freezone] but want to do it outside of the church, and the destructive nature of its policies that affect the livelihood of individuals and families. I'm glad you find it worthwhile and if it works for you, great. Continue doing so. But it does not bode well for those who are suffering under the current corporation.
