Microsoft to Yahoo, ‘Accept - or else!

p2pnet news | TV:- “The foreplay is over,” p2pnet posted in one of the most popular April Fools’ Day stories.
“Microsoft is to become Yahoo’s new owner.”
And, “What’s that they say about many a true thing … ? - we concluded, referring to the famous Shakespeare line, “Many a true word has been spoken in jest”.
Now Microsoft has made Yahoo an offer it says it’d better not refuse.
And Yahoo has responded by declaring it’s not against marriage with Microsoft —- it just wants a better dowry.
The word came, “after Microsoft warned Saturday that if a deal isn’t reached by April 26 the software maker will launch a hostile takeover at a less attractive price,” says the Associated Press.
According to the story CEO Jerry Yang has sent a letter Monday to Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer saying:
“We are open to all alternatives that maximize stockholder value. To be clear, this includes a transaction with Microsoft if it represents a price that fully recognizes the value of Yahoo on a standalone basis and to Microsoft, is superior to our other alternatives, and provides certainty of value and certainty of closing.”

I already use Yahoo as little as possible, but if Microsoft does a hostile takeover, I will put their IP addresses in my Peer Guardian block list.

I assume MS will re-brand and then ruin Yahoo, like they did to the original Hotmail…
